How to pass a urine drug test for THC
In this article, I will be discussing how to pass a urine drug test for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) the psychedelic cannabinoid that is responsible for the ” high ” feeling after using marijuana or products like the most potent edibles containing Delta-8, a synthetic cannabinoid that is about half the strength of the Delta-9 THC found in marijuana. When testing for marijuana in your urine it is important to know that what they are testing for isn’t actually THC, it a non-psychoactive metabolite called THC-COOH. THC-COOH is a metabolite that occurs even weeks after using marijuana. Don’t worry too much, urinalysis test can only pick up levels over 50ng/mL, so if you prepare well for your test, it is possible to show up negative. There are two varieties of detox that people use, diuretics and a method called Blocking, that works by blocking fat cells ability to metabolize THC temporarily.
Diuretics flush out your kidney’s causing excess urination. This method generally works better if done two or more days prior to the test. The second method of detox is more commercially based, there are many over the counter detox kits, but beware, you only have a 3 to 5-hour window to the test. These detoxes temporarily stop fat cells from metabolizing. Masking THC in your urine and making it appear that there are no toxins in your system. Though after that 3 to 5-hour window, the toxins are re-released and WILL show up on a drug screen so be cautious. I know someone that has used this type of kit and failed because he didn’t know when his test was going to be that day, just that he was going to have one. It ended up being the first thing in the morning and the detox hadn’t been IN his system long enough.
That being said, another friend of mine, who is a long time friend of Mary Jane, swears by a product called, “The Stuff.” It comes in assorted fruit flavors and he swears by it! It used to come in a mix, but now it has a pre-mixed version. You drink it one hour before your test and you will have a 3 hour time window to do your test. This is an old school product, so there may be better options out there, but he says it works and I am inclined to believe him.
Of course, there is also the Fail Safe Kit from Nutra Cleanse. The kit is very popular, though pricey, it is rated as HighTimes favorite cleansing method. It works the same day and blocks detection of THC-COOH for on average of 6 hours!
A More Natural Way
Some, like myself, prefer to go au natural when cleansing for a urine test. The Tomato Juice Method has been something that has proven true to me time and time again. The Tomato Juice Method works by changing the acidity and pH in your urine, in such a way that it replaces some major vitamins that you would otherwise excrete through urination.

So, it is has been used for years in Jamaican culture to use tomato juice. I learned about this while working at a call center. An instructor of mine told us about how the Jamaican culture is filled with Ganja and though Marijuana grows like, well, a weed. It is not legal to use. Though my instructor didn’t tell us how much to drink, through home testing strips I learned that about a gallon of juice does the trick. This test has worked the same day for me, but I really wouldn’t risk it. Your best bet is to stop smoking immediately and drink it two days before. The reason being is that the tomato juice will fill you up and you will feel a little bloated, so it is really hard to drink a whole gallon in one day, plus water. Remember to drink water as well, the sodium content is a little much and may leave you feeling a little puffy. I have never used vegetable juice, such as V8, so I am unsure of the results. I have always just stuck to good ole straight juice from concentrate.
It is also important to remember that THC is stored in fat cells. So if you are a husky person like me, you will store more THC than would a person who is thin. So with that being said, remember NOT TO EXERCISE! Before a test that is, exercise is important. Exercising burns fat. By destroying fat cells you release more THC into the body, meaning more THC-COOH will show up in the urinalysis. So there you go, don’t exercise, there is my bad advice for the day.
In conclusion, same day results will only work during a certain time frame, and diuretics take time. If diluting the urine with either method it is important to remember that if it comes out clear, it looks suspicious. Urine needs to have a color, and/or an odor.
